Conference FAQs

What is the Conference Cancellation Policy 

 

You can request a full refund on the purchase of your conference pass by July 1, 2023.

After this date, a 50% refund through July 14, 2023.

After July 14 deadline, no refunds will be issued.

All refunds are less credit card bank fees of 2.9%, a $0.50 processing fee, plus your bank card processing fees, running 2.5%-3.75%

How can I locate a roommate for the conference?

 

If you are looking for a roommate, we recommend connecting with members on GardenComm's Facebook Page or the private Group, if you have access. Locate someone who is seeking a roommate or leave a post in the discussion.

Is there an exhibit area at the conference?

 
There are no booths or an exhibit hall at the GardeComm Conference. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend the Garden Center Conference & Expo hall on the 3rd floor, during the designated reception function.
 

What is the Garden Center Magazine & Expo?

 As the leading event for independent garden centers in the U.S. and Canada, the Garden Center Conference & Expo is the one conference where retailers convene for inspiration, education, innovation and networking.

Not only will you find actionable ideas you can take home to implement at your garden center, you’ll find a collaborative community that will inspire you with ways to make your business the best it can be.

When will the sessions and speakers be announced?

The call for speakers deadline is 2/20/23 and all sessions will be decided by the Education Committee no later than 3/15/23. All sessions, speakers and bios will be added to the website by 3/31/23.

Will there be a virtual pass available for this event?

All of the educational sessions will be recorded and made available to conference attendees. GardenComm may elect to offer a virtual option in the fall, including a virtual Pitch the Editors session. If there is a virtual session, it will be included with the cost of a paid attendee pass. 

Will there be a be a Pitch the Editors event at the conference?

There will not be a formal pitch the editors session, however many editors will attend the in-person event and there will be networking opportunities to meet with them one on one. If there is a Pitch the Editors fall event, it will be included for paid attendees, and available for purchase to members who do not attend the conference.
