Anderson Garden - The Anderson shade garden has evolved over the past 30+ years from a box of unknown perennials, gifted from a friend in the early ‘90’s, (at the time, a barely knew what a perennial was) to having over 350 varieties of Hosta, 17 varieties of Rhododendron and over 250 varieties of perennials, ornamental shrubs and trees.  Andrea has definitely become an avid collector of plants. Rick is not a gardener but designs and builds the hardscapes in the garden. With paths, hardscapes and ornaments, there is a surprise around every corner.

Saltsman2
Saltsman Garden - Terri and Tom Saltsman began their gardening journey in the spring of 2013. Over the years, they have crafted a beautiful space that includes a mix of conifer, shrub, and perennial borders, two raised beds for vegetables, and a peaceful Asian-influenced Tea house. Recently, they have been inspired by entomologist Doug Tallamy to replant a dry slope with native perennials where they use no herbicides or pesticides. Their efforts seem to be working, as they are seeing more butterflies and bees.

fossel2

Fossel Grounds - This enchanting 1836 property has allowed us to add, change, plant, replant, trim, and enjoy it for the last forty years. The gardens delights us annually with its combination of mild formality and untamed chaos, new and old, seasonal and year-round, annual and perennial, structure and simplicity, forest and meadow, wildflowers and gardens, herbs and bulbs.

Finneran3

Finneran Garden is nestled in the heart of Cannonsburg in a sandy oak forest, the home of Larry and Rebecca Finneran features a beautiful garden oasis that is designed to be water-smart and resist deer damage.  Woody plants and perennials are the backbone of this woodland garden that fits into the busy couple’s schedule. With no automatic irrigation, plants must be resilient enough to survive West Michigan conditions while offering four-season interest.  Native plants and cultivars also offer thriftiness while the occasional landscape “diva” is thoughtfully planted close to the water supply.

miejer2

Meijer Gardens 2024 Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, one of the world’s most significant botanic and sculpture experiences, was named the 2023 and 2024 Best Sculpture Park in the United States by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards and listed as the 81st-most-visited museum in the world by The Art Newspaper, the leading global art news publication. sprague3

Sprague Garden - Jim and Shannon have been caring for this property for 27 years – Shannon as the gardener and Jim as the self-proclaimed ‘cheap labor!’ Together, they have created their beautiful outdoor-living sanctuary. Having something in bloom from the time the snow starts to melt until it falls again is the goal for this woodland garden.
