Plant & Garden Story Slam 2023
Join us for this virtual conference attendee-favorite event!
Join in a festive evening of story-telling on Thursday evening October 19, at 5:00PM EST. Attend as a speaker or as an audience member. Think “NPR’s program The Moth goes horticultural!” Those wishing to tell a story will need to apply by sending your name to Ellen Zachos, the moderator, by October 16th, acmeplant@gmail.com.
Here are the rules:
- All stories should be between 2 and 5 minutes long.
- After 5 minutes anyone going long will be given “the gong” and pulled off the virtual stage.
- Stories need to be told, not read. They should be true, about plants/horticulture, and about something the speaker has experienced or witnessed.
- You must be registered in advance to tell a story. Unlike previous years, stories will not be accepted “from the floor.”
Whether you’re participating as a presenter or audience member, you’ll be sure to enjoy, and learn from, a story well told. Note: Story tellers must be registered for the virtual conference.
