Beverly Hurley
Beverly Hurley is a Region 4 GardenComm member, hailing from N. Carolina. Networking, learning about trends, and receiving information about new plants is Beverly's primary interest in her GardenComm membership. She is the Editor and Publisher of the Triangle Gardener, which publishes regionally focused content about gardening in the Raleigh area of North Carolina.
One of Beverley’s favorite plants is Edgeworthia chrysantha. "It's a wonderful plant that jump starts spring in the midst of winter here in Raleigh, where I live." She continued, "The smell is divine, the way it transitions from white to yellow flowers is beautiful, and the large tropical-style leaves on it for the rest of the growing season make this a winning plant." Beverly has two in her garden and has encouraged at least six neighbors to plant them in their yards!

Beverly has traveled to seven cities so far in 2023 and enjoys writing about visiting gardens when traveling. She says, "Many smaller destinations that might not be top of mind have lovely gardens to visit and nature areas to explore."
